What is the difference between Student-T Test and Pearson's test? And how do you do them?

I am conducting a Likert scale questionnaire with a participation size of 46. I have only 10 questions and am using the standard 5-point scaling system (1=Strongly Disagree; 2=Disagree; 3=neutral; 4=agree; 5=strongly agree). I want to run a test on correlation, I know two of my variables are culture(Independent variable), perception of crisis communication, and practice of crisis management (both dependent variables). Would a Pearson's test suffice? Would unpaired or paired t-test be better? THANKS!

I do not think t tests would be appropriate at all because there is no mention of a control group (unpaired) or if you used before/after measurements (paired).

A correlation would be your best bet, doing one for each dependent variable.
