Does anybody like completing questionnaires / surveys?

In my student days I was forced to carry out surveys in many different spheres. Questionnaires were by far the most difficult to conduct because they were most often dumped and/or forgotten. The result is that with hindsight I realise that most of them were probably way off the mark. It is extremely disheartening to any researcher to find his carefully designed and devised questionnaire dumped in the nearest bin. The upshot of this is that I never refuse to properly and truthfully fill in any questionnaire that I am asked to providing it is not over invasive.


Furthermore, companies plan products and future services on the basis of market research. If you don't get the products and services you want it is because the providers have been wrongly informed or not informed through their market research.


Finally I do agree that most market research organisations should make questionnaires more attractive to the targets especially people "on the go".

Reply:Yes, for the most part, if there long and go on a bit no, I dislike the fact most of them insist on having your phone number or email address, never give it or they will pester you forever.

Reply:No, I can't stand it. Where I live there is a whole load of them with their clipboards ready to pounce on you, They are like the firing squad. If you are on your phone they will still have the audacity to ask you if you could help them with a survey, and if you are sitting on a bench eating your lunch they will do the same. I think that is both rude and intrusive. Now, before they have a chance to ask me I just firmly put my hand up, because its like, hello do I look like I want to fill in your questionnaire. I am late for work and on the phone. Would they start chatting to their friends and relatives while they were talking on the phone. I don't think so!!!!!
