Postal Questionnaires?

What is the average rate of return - and a link to the place that says the stats please!! I can only get vague quotes like - between 10 - 90%!!!!! UK based, social care questionnaire if that helps? Oh, and I got 8 back out of 57!!!!! Rubbish!!!!

Postal Questionnaires?
8 out of 57 is a genuinely good response to this kind of questionnaire...

I have run many marketing campaigns and this is gooooood, believe me!

Look up Relational (transactional) marketing as a word search and you will start finding good links to this kind of thing...(I live in the UK also by the wayso I ain't giving you a US answer)

Reply:yeah wow, do you have the name of the questionnaire your refering to. that might help people answer.
Reply:I work for a community group - we were given a grant to do a HUGE consultation exercise across the local postal area (approx 10,000 households and businesses.

We had a return of around 350 - believe it or not, that's considered good odds! And if you are smart about it, you can legitimately quote percentages such as "90% of respondants agreed with such and such.." because that's the truth, although usually there will be no suggestion how many actually replied!

Say you send questionnaires to 1000 people....only four reply, and three say the same thing. You can then tell people, legitimately - 75% of respondants said this!

The moral of the story? It's pretty pointless as a legitimate means of canvassing opinion but as a PR exercise, its great!
Reply:I don't know but I love ur name!!!!
