Have you ever received a federal jury duty questionnaire?

I live in California and recently received a jury duty questionnaire from the Federal District Court. I'm wondering if anyone else has received one of these, and if so did you end up getting called for jury duty?! What kinds of cases are these? How long did you serve?

I did not qualify to get out of it on any level of the questionnaire and am worried since I have 2 small children, how I will possibly be able to serve as I have no babysitters!

This questionnaire looked exactly like the one on this web page except it is for California. http://www.wawd.uscourts.gov/JuryService...

Don't worry about it. Just fill out the questionaire. It's only purpose is to determine the jury pool. Whether you are called to jury duty or not has nothing to do with how you answer this questionaire.

Now, before they send a summons, they send a notice that you may be summoned. It is at this point that you respond, indicating that you have young children and no one to watch them.

If they still send you a summons, show up with the kids.
Reply:there is so many ways to get out of jury duty, but having two kids opens up a whole new dictionary of excuses.
Reply:just fill it out..if you dont want to serve tell them you have a close family member that was a victim of a violent crime and ytou dont feel you can be objective
