My project topic is " Stereotyping of Women in Advertisements"
What are the kinds of questions I could ask in my questionnaire and who could my sample be?
How important is it to you to see a beautiful woman advertising a product you might potentially buy?
Would you buy one product over the other because the woman advertising product A is younger than the woman advertising product B?
Your sample is probably dependent on what is available to you. You can choose women from a certain age group or both men and women from a certain age group. Of course you want as much diversity as possible no matter what you choose.
Reply:When you see ads with women on TV and in magazines:
1) do most of them belong to one ethnic group?
2) do they tend to have one body type?
3) do they appear to be of one social class (poor, middle-class, or rich)?
4) do they seem to be CEO's of companies, or have lower jobs?
5) do they seem to have unpaid jobs such as homemakers or mothers?
6) do you get impressions about the potential that teen girls have for future jobs?
7) are they valued more for their appearances or for their brains?
The sample could be:
1) children up to age 12
2) teenagers
3) young adults, 20-35
4) middle aged persons, 35-65
5) seniors, 66 %26amp; older
