I'm applying for a job, but don't want my current employer to be contacted what do i do?

I have to take an online questionnaire as part of the application, I really don't want my current employer to know that I am seeking a different job opportunity. I'm not in bad standing or a bad employee in any way, it would make my day to day life at work weird, and I would be treated differently.

Most people are in your same situation. Just let the prospective employer know that your current employer is unaware that you are looking for a new job. If they are a reputable company, they will not contact your current employer.
Reply:They won't contact your employer unless they are interested after you one on one interview. At that time, let them know your concerns. I have done that in the past and still have gotten the job.
Reply:Well on most applications it should ask if u=you mind them calling your present employer and you have the right to say no do not contact them most places understand that if your employeed and looking for a new job that it can cause problems if your boss finds out. they should be understanding to that
