What country do I live in? is it England, Great Britain or United Kingdom?

whenever I fill out questionnaires I never know what I should put under the question What country do you live in?, some times I have to select from a selection and normally UK is in the list, sometimes it is GB and occasionally it is England but more often the box is left blank and I have to decide for myself what I should put, is there some sort of rule that I should follow when deciding? or does it not matter? am I the only one who is confused by this?? Sometimes I feel like answering it with I don't know because I am really confused by this.

What country do I live in? is it England, Great Britain or United Kingdom?
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Reply:How can I answer this? Do you live in England? Being Scottish, it won't surprise you to learn that I don't. Neither am I surprised that, being English, you can't tell the difference. To help you: Great Britain is the big island which comprises Scotland (that's the bit in the north or "top" on most maps) England and Wales (that's the bit that sticks out to the west of England or "left" on most maps). The UK is all of that island plus Northern Ireland, the six northernmost (that's the top again) counties of the big island to the left of Britain. Hope this helps.

Reply:England... God save the queen!
Reply:If it is a national questionare, you should put England or UK. If it's a international questionare, you should put Great Britan.

Hmm... that's all I can do for you right now...
