4. Well i cant say if i don't know which ones are studying it


5. Well, no because no one i know of is studying it! so i figure it cant be that popular

In the next century or so, yes, because china is so populated that out of those billions of people quite a few are going to be smart and invent totally useful things, and people are going to need to know how to speak to them to learn about those things.

5. No, because since putonghua is hard to learn because of its accents and no person in the world knows all the strokes, maybe putonghua could be the second international language.
