What would be your answer to the invitations?

This is a questionnaire about how you respond to invitations that happen in a conversational situation. There are nine situations below. One day, your boss asked you to go to his office...


Boss: Recently you’ve been working hard for the project. I reallu appreciate for your help. My wife and I decided to invite those who are in this project to our house for dinner this evening. What do you say?

Imagine you are a college teacher, and your student come up to you...


Students: Hi! Teacher! You have helped me a lot about my thesis. My parents want to invite you to our house to dinner tonight to show out gratitude. Can you come?

I would say yes, I do not see any problems with this as long as everything is kept at respect level.

I would excuse myself , not to go ,it is not appropiate for a teacher to have that kind of relationship with their students.

I would go, it was a previous teacher, and from the situation I can see everyone is of age, so I do not see a problem with this.

I would also excuse myself from the dinner, simply say it was my pleasure to recommend someone with good standards

I would go, if we were friends just lost touch.. then why not? it is always nice cathching up with old friends

probably not... at work and the first day .. is probably best to opt out of that one... I would take up an invitation if at the job for a while and this person is part of my team.. or so.

I dont think so.. but who knws just because we werent close once does not mean we can be friends... in future

been there , done that. this is very typical when on tour ..so i would def be open to hanging out again.
