Can you help me with questions for Project questionnaire?

im designing a automated curtain rail. just for my college project but i need ideas of questions i can ask in a questionnaire so i can futher my design specification to what customers want and need. if you could post some helpful questions that would be great :)

oh its also aimed more at the elderly and disabled for more ease of curtains opening and closing. if that helps :)

Can you help me with questions for Project questionnaire?
If I understand you correctly, you want to ask possible customers what requirement they would be looking for. Such as:

Would you prefer a remote control, or fixed wall switches next to the doors?

Would you prefer curtains, or blinds?

Would you want to close only one curtain at a time?

How much would you be willing to pay for this product?

Hope this is what you were looking for.
Reply:Can the curtains be opened/closed individually to a variable distance to shade the room when the sun shines in at a particular angle. In addition will the curtains shut completely with one press of a button.

Will the mechanism be hidden from view without any visible cables.
Reply:Can people with limited arm movement operate them.

Do they meet fire regulations.

Whats the maximum and minimum width

Whats the maximum curtain weight.

How much power do they consume.
Reply:What do I do/Who do I turn to if it goes wrong?

Does it need electricity to work? Will it work in a powercut?

Can I take it with me to a new house if I move? Can the size be adjusted for differnt sizes of windows? (Cos I aint paying for one and then finding I need a new one when I move house)

Can the remore control pad to operate them be a lightswitch on the wall rather than another annoying remote control to have at the side of the sofa - or make it unique so I don't go to close the curtains but accidentaly turn off Coronation Street

Hope this is what you after - I like the idea of automated curtains...

Hey, even better - they could work automatically at sunrise and sunset.... I am patenting that idea. Anyone nicks that idea now it was MINE FIRST hehe
